Our first ever evening Manchester SAM Networking Event, kindly being sponsored by 1E, will take place between 5.30pm and 9.00pm on Wednesday 14th September at the Manchester Metropolitan University. My fellow group members John Springall and Derek Beckford are organising this event which we hope will be the first of many.
The agenda will include Jason Keogh, VP of Product at 1E, discussing the influence and effects the recently released ISO 19770-3 will have in both the SAM and ITAM arenas. Jason will cover various topics surrounding this standard including vendor negotiation, SAM/ITAM tool migration and license management automation.
We are also looking forward to the session where Gillian Leicester and Tony Crawley of Synega (double ITAM Review award winners) discuss their personal operational SAM experiences and challenges, in order to achieve significant savings of £500m. An invaluable insight into the cost benefits that can be achieved with knowledge, determination and effective business integrated SAM/ITAM!
No major UK SAM Networking Event would be complete without a round table networking session and of course refreshments and a light supper (all of which will be included at the Manchester event!).
Again, this session is free to attend and to find out more information or to book your place, please click on the link : https://www.bcs.org/content/ConWebDoc/56202
As always we look forward to meeting up with our regular attendees, however we would also welcome new guests who would like to find out more about who we are and what we do.
