I am really looking forward to the 2016 ITAM Review Excellence Awards – there is just over a week to go! This year I was asked to be a judge, and it was a pleasure to review the submissions and vote on the 6 awards with my fellow judges – although we are none the wiser than anyone else regarding who will receive the actual awards! For those who aren’t aware, the Awards provide the industry with an opportunity to get together and celebrate the efforts and progress made by ITAM Professionals and service providers across the ITAM spectrum.
This year, the second prestigious Awards and Gala Dinner will be held on Friday 25th November at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Reading, with all funds raised being donated to the Sebastien’s Action Trust. The Charity was established in memory of Sebastien Gates who sadly lost his battle with cancer at the age of 9. Thanks to the tireless commitment of the dedicated team and donations from the public, the Trust is able to continue Sebastien’s legacy and provide dedicated support and care for seriously ill children and their families when they need it most.
The list of Award nominees includes many renowned names from within the Industry including Snow Software and Flexera Software (Tool Provider of the Year), Ricardo Novo of Centrica Plc and Hugh Skingley of Livingstone (ITAM Professional of the Year 2016) and both Concorde Solutions and Matrix42 in the running for Innovation of the Year. Awards will also be given for ITAM Implementation of the Year, Partner of the Year and a Lifetime Achievement Award (which will be announced on the night).
With numerous nominations received in each category, competition will be even tougher this year and I would like to wish all nominees the best of luck!
