It’s not long now until the forthcoming BCS UK SAM Networking Conference on the 14th April at the Portland Hotel in Manchester. The overall theme for this full day event focuses on the importance of the relationship between SAM and Information Security, including presentations by four industry renowned guest speakers.
Greg Holmes and Marcelo Pereira of Flexera Software will be presenting on how to reduce risk with effective Software Vulnerability Management.
Matt Ward of Softcat will focus more on how Information Security is playing a more pivotal role in Software Asset Management generally.
Protecting both company and personal data security in Mobile Device Management is crucial and this will be discussed in the session by Alan Giles of Snow Software.
Finally, Nick Waring of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Software Services will be exploring how software compliance and information security can be supported by a Configuration Management System.
Inkeeping with the conference theme, for the keynote speech I will be presenting a case study on how my working closely with the Information Security team within a large organisation significantly contributed to, and ultimately resulted in, the successful implementation of an ITAM policy across the business.
The formal presentations will be followed by lunch and the afternoon round table session will provide the opportunity to network and share ideas/best practices with SAM colleagues.
As always, this event is open to both BCS and non BCS members, so why not come along and get involved!
